I am not able to connect to mysql database in joomla installation step 4:
- host name=localhost
- username=root
- password=root
- database name=joomla
But the result show that "Could not connect to the database. Connector returned number: Unable to connect to the database: Could not connect to MySQL"
Answer
If you install joomla! on localhost (on your compuer), the database does not have password (leave blank) or "msql" (without "")
