Hi Everyone,
Im creating a new Joomla site and Forum for my existing VB site and i was wondering if it was possible to change the URL of my forum?
At the moment it is currently: http://domain.com/index.php/forum/index
and was hoping it could be changed to simply be: http://domain.com/forum/
or http://domain.com/forum.php
Answer
1/ Rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess (in Joomla! root directory)
2/ Go to Joomla! Global Configuration -> SEO Settings -> Use URL rewriting: Yes (make sure "Search Engine Friendly URLs" is Yes)
"index.php" will be removed from your url: http://domain.com/forum/index
