JT Fixed Display Module is a simple module for Joomla! This module can displays any images or modules (Menu, Banner, Images, Custom HTML, ...) on fixed position. When you scroll the browser window, the modules are alway displayed. You can select your module on any position or by module ID to display. This module is suitable for display Ads, Banners, Menu, Button, Custom code,...

1/ Install the module JT Fixed Display via Joomla! Extensions Manager.

2/ Enable (Published) the module JT Fixed Display on any available position of your template. We recommend you publish the module JT Fixed Display on the position named Debug because it is located at the bottom of your web page.

3/ Select Menu Assignment for the module JT Fixed Display to All Pages.

4/ Save & Close.

5/ Clear your Joomla! cache and your Browser cache.

6/ Go to your site then refresh your browser. If you see two demo banners display on your website, this module works well on your site. If not, please view Troubleshooting below.

How to use

1/ Published the module JT Fixed Display on any available position of your template. We recommend you publish the module JT Fixed Display on the position named Debug because it is located at the bottom of your web page.

2/ Select Menu Assignment for the module JT Fixed Display.

3/ Change Left Display Type to Module Position and setting the parameters of the module JT Fixed Display for the Left Box.

4/ Change Right Display Type to Module Position and setting the parameters of the module JT Fixed Display for the Right Box.

5/ Save & Close.

How to display your module on fixed position

1/ Open your module that you want to display (images, Banners, Custom HTML,...) and enter (type by keyboard) jt_leftbox (display on left side) or jt_rightbox (display on right side) in the Position of your module.

(You may select a Module position from the dropdown box of pre-defined positions or enter your own Module position by typing in the name.)

2/ Save & Close.

3/ Clear your Joomla! cache and your Browser cache.

Note:

  • You can select a Module position from the dropdown box of pre-defined positions or enter your own Module position by typing in the name.
  • If you wnat to remove the border of the box, please open JT Fixed Display Module then change border to 0px in Left Box CSS and/or Right Box CSS
  • You can copy this module to publish on other pages, but remember that only one JT Fixed Display Module is published on the same time.
  • If you have a problem with Debug position, please try other position (e.g. absolute, analytics,...)

Troubleshooting

If your template has been disabled debug position

- Please try to enable it in your template manager. Click here to view How to enable debug position

If your template do not have Debug position, you must add the Debug position at the bottom of your template

- Open the file named index.php in your template folder.

- Find:

- Before add:

<jdoc:include type="modules" name="debug" />

Your code looks like this:

If this module is not working well on debug position

- Please try to use other position: analytics, absolute, top, bottom,...

Settings for some templates

1/ Rhuk_milkyway, Ja_purity and other templates

- Published Mod_jt_fixed_display on position debug, published left banners (or modules) on position jt_leftbox and published right banners (or modules) on position jt_rightbox

2/ Beez template:

- Open file templates/beez/index.php

Find:

After add:

<jdoc:include type="modules" name="jt_fixed_display" />

- Published Mod_jt_fixed_display on position jt_fixed_display, published left banners (or modules) on position jt_leftbox and published right banners (or modules) on position jt_rightbox
